This must have been before my time when i was there levi was the bailiff and he was a nice fella i thought, I know some clubs are very clicky but i never saw or heard anything like that on bovvy or prestons

Whats terrible about it the man asks for advise and i gave him some he did not know about the place unlike you and no theres no secrets about the place. As for bulling tyres etc when i was a member never see it happen like i said only really fished prestons and bovvy and found it ok both lakes imo have some nice fish in and as i remember 160 quid not really syndicate money.

If you can get the swim up at the nature reserve and ambush them as they come out.Or do hickers where you wade out to ambush them.As far as i know get your rigs in the old river bed 1st island to the right was allways good for me and some times the dam wall can produce there was a swim just over the dam that juts out a bit that a couple of blokes had a couple when i was there once dont know the name of it though.I fished it a few years back so things could have changed i dont know but as far as i remember the old river bed the 1st island you come to from the car park to the right just behind it you will find that and the swim is massive.Hope this helps you catch good luck. By the way if you fish bovvy 2 get the car park or point and fish at the back of gravel bar from car park or front from point thats where the fish will be in the hot weather. Good luck

I was a member of caps for a couple of years and only really fished prestons and bovvy and i must say never had a problem with anyone even woke a bloke up at 3 in the morning to take a photo for me every one i met was alright and for the money i dont think you can go wrong,Im now on a essex syndicate lake,But i would join caps again deffo just for prestons lake IMHO thats worth the money alone.

Coleman Double burner for me,Done many a spagbowl and it has never let me down.Just dont use it in the bivvy not only a coleman but any stove see a bloke once set light to hes bivvy and leg once and had to throw him in the lake to put him out thankfully only very miner burns nothing serious thank god.

i went a couple of years ago to be honest i did not fancie the place but my mate kept reading mags about the place anyway we went but never again the lake is a puddle and its like fishing a dog walkers lake you are never left alone and the noise from the clubhouse drives you mad.sorry to [censored] on your fireworks mate my mate had 2 and me 1 but they were well rough fish mine had soars all over it.any way thats my take on it you might think different unless you try you will never know but good luck.

you will have to give me your number so i can give you sams i dont want to put it up here because every one will drive him mad. as for bait any good bollie will do but the favorate is 2 bits of maize and a bit of plastic corn,dont take any self life and now you have to buy all your particles from mark, ive just spoke to sam and he said vallee 1 is just starting to produce so hopefully you will have some nice fish and they are nice in there anyway give me your number and ill sort it for u.

Right first of all dont take this the wrong way that goes for all of you,Me and a friend go to this place twice a year feb and oct and have done for 4 years for long weekends. Ive had some good fish and so has my friend ie feb last year 3 40lbs in the snow I wont say anything about the owner because everyone knows about him any way my point to this day we speak to sam the ballif every other week by phone We were there in feb this year and oct last year and 3 of us blanked,now some of you we say so its down to you your bad anglers, Well since we were there in feb 2 fish have come out from vallee 1 and vallee 2 bad angling again you say well there was 10 people from a mag on vallee 2 doing an article. so make your own mind up. No one goes to france to blank. I sound very bitter you say well i love the place it is a beautiful lake and the shower/toilet are great from my house to the lake takes approx 4 hours so is perfect for me. so this is my opinion sorry to put a downer on your trip and pray to god you have some wacker.

Hi all just thought i would let you know how i got on on vallee lake, just in case anybody is going soon or thinking about going,fished it from the 18th to the 21st fished swim 5 caught 28 common 32 mirror and 37 common stuning fish 2 came on 2 pieces maize and rubber sweatcorn the other on snowman thought the owner mark was allright, the only bit of advice i would give is take all your own bait because he is dear and treat it like it was an english water because its not a runs water do your home work. By the way before i went i read every forum on the net not a good word to say about the place. but my mate had allready paid so had to go glad i did to be honest, dont get me wrong i have some complants about the place [i am a carper] swim 5 to far from all others bait and tackle to dear fish stock not what they say. to be honest looking at going again before june for me its nice and close and if you do a bit of work you will catch fish and what nice fish they are anyway hope this helps.
