  5. Hi all going to goto Baden Hall soon for a couple of trips, ive asked the owners how the new Carp pond is made up of and they replied "Hi the carp lake is an ex sand and gravel pit so the bottom is gravelly and weedy". Just asking your advice on rigs, im going to make my own, what rigs would you advise and what materials would be best. Also what size hook would you recommend, fox or Korda? cheers guys. http://www.badenhall.com/New%20Pools.htm
  6. what do you use to grese the line?
  7. yeah looking at the videos the water is light brown and seen bits on bank so prob same as your lake, ie not the grey stuff, thanks for reply mate.
  8. lol nobber just seen it was you.
  9. yeah m8 but he tried it on all types ie braid mono flouro etc
  10. i watched some of this on the Korda DVD he was trying different lenghts and the a shorter seemed to work better, as the carp have less to eject. On the long rigs they seemed to have no trouble in gettting loose of the rig when they shook there heads as he said they had more line to play with? as it was more slack. Dont quote me on this as gospel just thought id mention it from the DVD.
  11. cheers guys thank for replys, helped me a lot

  13. Hi all, ive made somerigs up with 25 stealth skin brown ill be attching it to a kwik link as ill be pulling it through a stick mix. As im new to making a fig 8 knot for a loop to attach to kwik link will this knot hold ok? Im confident in tying the knot and wet it as i tied the loop. Just want my mind at ease as i dont want to loose any fish due to my fig 8 knot, not being strong enough. Thanks guys
