  1. It is with deep personal regret that we have to inform all our clients, many of whom have become friends; that we are in the process of selling Eden’s Lakes. The purchasers, who some of you have already met this year, are Matt Wilkinson and his wife Melissa, who joined us here at Eden’s Lakes at the beginning of this season. Matt and Melissa have been involved in Eden’s Lakes since 2008, finally investing in stock and other improvements on their arrival here in April this year. Eden’s Lakes is fast becoming a leading Fishery here in France, but, as you know with the recession in full swing, it has been a very difficult financial year, full of anxiousness for all who have been affected by it. The recession has touched many, many lives all over the world, some of whom have lost their jobs, their homes and more, and our family has been no exception. We are fortunate, however, that we have been able to find a financial alternative for our family, although it has been a very, very painful decision to have to make. Lisa, I and our four girls are remaining in France, moving only 10 minutes from Eden’s so are on hand for any advice and help Matt and Melissa may need. We can assure all our clients that, here at Eden’s Lakes, business will carry on as usual…all bookings will be honoured and, with Matt and Melissa having had the opportunity to work alongside us in the past year or so, we have been able to pass on the high standards that we have run Eden’s Lakes with for the past five years. Not everything is doom and gloom for us though. We have had an amazing opportunity offered to us and will be heading out on a new venture, still within the Carp Fishing arena. We have recently accepted an offer to be the new frontline for Carp-Tech High Standard Fishing Equipment. We will be supplying Carp-Tech Equipment to distributors and individuals, controlling all distribution of Carp-Tech Equipment the world over. This new venture will also enable us to continue to be an active part in the Carp Fishing World, being able to continue to meet like-minded people who have a shared passion for the sport. We have been extremely fortunate in having had the privilege to live here in a beautiful, idyllic part of France, especially being able to create Eden’s Lakes from scratch, an achievement of which we are very proud. We would like to take this opportunity to send a huge thank-you to all our clients…many of whom have become close friends and hope that you will keep in touch. We will be letting you know our new contact details when we have them, as, at the moment, we are still here, running Eden’s Lakes, until everything is finalised. Many of our clients have said in the past…”You’re really living the dream with this place.” So much so that it has been very difficult to envisage giving up our dream, but we have to, and we now pass the dream to Matt and Melissa and wish them all the very best with Eden’s and hope that they, and their lovely family, have many happy years living in this very special place. We hope that you will give a warm welcome to Matt and Melissa and we sincerely hope that you continue to fish at Eden’s Lakes cos, although we are leaving, the magnificent fish aren’t!! Take Care and Tight Lines Adam, Lisa and family.
  2. Hi Jamie, I have sent you a PM.
  3. I would say your best bet would be to ask the venue owner, as they would know what is hitting it off on there own lake.
  4. Hi Natty, You have a PM.
  5. Hi, I have sent you a PM.
  6. Hi Tim, Have a look at Eden's Lakes but be aware Feb & March can be very cold & lakes can still be frozen in February. I would go for March as the weather is starting to pick up & you can get some nice warm days. We are in south central France so if the weather is on our side it does tend to warm up nicley here.
  7. Hi, You can get an All Inclusive package at Eden's Lakes.
  8. Hi, Take a look at Eden's Lakes, if you book both lakes exclusively then you will be able to have 10 anglers. Both lakes have carp up to the 50lb+
  9. I find on my lakes that April & May are very productive as they are getting on the munch from winter, also August & September. But any month can be productive, just depends on how you fish it.
  10. Trakker1, If your not totally confident then why don't you book a All Inclusive fly package, get picked up from the airport & then you will get to see what the roads are like. You can then see if you will be able to handle the driving for next time.
  11. Hi Simon, I have sent you a PM.

  15. I have been informed by the owner of Chapel and Justices Lakes that he has now been cleared & is fully registered & is back in business. This is good news & I am sure he would be willing to share any knowledge he has gained to any other Lake owners.
  16. Hi Danny, I have PM'd you with details of our venue. Good Luck Adam.
  17. You have nothing to worry about, I have been there & seen the place & it is a great venue. I have also spoken to anglers who have fished this venue & they can't praise it enough. If you are worried about what size carp are in there just look at the gallery that should ease your worries. This is a great place to go especially with your family as the accomodation & the hosts are great. You & your family will have a great time.
  18. Hi, I have sent you a PM Adam.
  19. Just read this...... The authorities are really clamping down on venues not registered. The Limousin Times 19/6 - 25/6/2007 Fishermen Netted Yet another English proprietor of a Limousin lake has fallen foul of the laws of the land. Numerous English in the region have been found by the gendarmes to be using their lakes for illegal fishing activities. Mr 'W' has a holiday home in Fromental and divides his time between Great Britain and France. Mr W owns a fishing lake or 'etang' de la Chapelle in the commune of Dompierre les Eglises as well as renting etang des justices at Saint Sornin Leulac. Mr W is charged with illegally renting these lakes to other British holiday makers for Carp fishing. After 2 months of investigations the gendarmes finally decided to take action last week. Mr W has an web site where he offers his lakes for rent at €1000 per week. Not only are the lakes not 'closed water',that is to say 'closed' by means of fish grills that prevent fish from public waters entering private lakes, but his business is also completely unregistered. Via his website Mr W offered fishing equipment for sale or hire as well as airport pick up services as part of his 'package'. It is also alleged that an illegal employee was being used to run the business. A joint operation including tax officers, employment agencies and river authorities. On the 12th June 4 Brits were caught fishing illegally at etang la Chapelle and a further 3 at the etang Justice. The fishermen had no permits and were using illegal rods. Mr W's computer has been seized as part of the investigation and a joint dossier is being compiled by URSSAF,BCR,CSP AND COLT. If convicted Mr W could face up to 3 years in prison and €45,000 fine.
