  1. Korda wide gapes are very sharp but blunt so easily I find. Im now trying the Pallattrax "THE HOOK" a short shanked hook, the hook holds have been exceptional.
  2. Used it a couple of times but as yet not had a fish on it, still not certain about it myself and only feel I should use it over clear areas. This is due to it shrinking by about 30% im afraid it will pull the hook into weed strands or a twig etc.
  3. Ive used Korda hooks for a long while both wide gapes and L/s x's, but find no matter how sharp they are they very easily blunt. But now after a trip tom France Im going to try the Pallatrax "the hook" very impressed with the hook holds my fishing buddie was getting.
  4. rigs This link may be of help to you;)
  5. I can see whats being said but at the end of the day any rig no matter what can become a death rig in the wrong hands. The clear leaders that are now so popular are just as dangerous I believe. I do use lead core no more than 3ft and I use it with both running leads and even safer the helicopter rig. Hopfully then if the line parts they only have a hooklink to discard. At the end of the day if a carp is trailing a lentgh of 10/12 or 15lb line and snag up, I dont believe they would get out of it at all.(no way could it break on a straight pull) Why is it Carp anglers always use higher strentgh hooklinks to there main line?, match anglers don't. How many times do carp anglers pack up made up rods get them out next session and have not even checked there leader knotts etc. If I ran a lake I would have to carry out regular rig checks, especially on a day ticket water where anyone could tun up.
  6. Don't use much Nash gear myself now, I felt they had a time when there luggage was awefull (stac sac I had fell apart within 12months twice). Seeing them at 5 lakes this year it does look better now especially the new bivvy. I've got a spool of the new triggerlink but as yet not certain about it, but will keep having ago on onerod for a while. Nash bait. How can anyone say anything bad about Bayes gear is beyond belief. This is the one thing that is superb, and no I dont use it, to expensive for me I'll stick with CBS.
