Since I live on a lake I am fortunate enough to be able to experiment with all things bait related. My personal best grass carp was caught with fresh cut spinach about 2 inches long with a sugar snow pea pod with a clear rubber band wrapped and my hook wrapped around it. The grassy weighed 68lbs. My personal best common weighed 30.5lbs. I caught it on a homemade black fly larvae boilie coated in salt. I love fishing for carp.

My first carp I caught off of our doc. I'll never forget it. I was by myself with just my phone for the pic. I had no landing mat yet so I held it the only way I could get a pic. I also took a short video about 10 seconds long. This carp is not my biggest but my first. I didn't have a scale or measuring tape so I could only guess at the weight.

50lb. Grass carp. -
New to carp fishing. I learned from watching videos from you guys in UK. I make my own bait and I'm doing very well so far. I fish all wild water here. I love it and it's a growing sport over here now.
