i would love to fish a swim that was truly haunted by some old angler that knew his trade, i would stay up all night picking his dead brains for info on what are now 'truly lost arts'. we could all do with going back to the roots of carp angling, when a fish that covered your dinnerplate was a catch and a half wonder what those old monks would make of the likes of ravioli (clarissa)...1 point -

Ian, I agree with you 100%. I swear like a trooper, but it just isn't right when it's used in the written word. I've also visited some sites where there is no swear filter and every other word is a profanity. Needless to say, I didn't stay long But it's not gonna stop me having a pop at our swear filter every now and then1 point -

Dal, part of me agrees with your comment about the fantastic filter but I've visited some other forums in the past where profanities appeared to be compulsory, never mind acceptable. I'd rather stay with things as they are, it's one of the things I like about this forum........I'd be happy to let any member of my family have a look. Ian1 point
