adam29 Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 hello there off to crete lakes in a fortnight cant wait wanting to fish a double swim as my mate has never been to france which ones are good does anybody know. Quote
tony1971 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 Hello m8 if you want a double swim there are 4 of them one lake one and one on lake 4 .the numbers one lake one are as follows peg one peg 2 peg 3 and peg 10 lake 4 only has the one and off the topnof my head i think its peg 29 Quote
adam29 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 yes mate got a viper im liking the look of pegs 1 & 10 on lake 1 and 29 on lake 4 do have any advice Quote
tony1971 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 peg one is long chuck to open water there is a bar at about 110 or a large tree to the left at about 100yds peg 10 there are 2 bars in front of you one at about 45yds and the other is about 100 with a weed bar behind it but there is also peg 3 right next to the club house for charging your boat and it aint a bad peg with deeper water in the corner if there is nobody fishing it lake one i would say is going to fish the harder of the 3 but the rewards could be bigger saying that there are 50 s in all lakes the double in lake 4 would be my choice but it could be a bit tight when you have fish on of your not backleaded under the tips but again i love this lake have you seen the reports in carp talk this week on the foreighn pages . however if you want single swims and dont mind the weed try lake 2 there are some masive fish in there that have never been ct i have had 40 s from there in late oct so i think if you know how to fish weed that would be my choice .if you need any more advice pls ask it no prob what date are you going ?? Quote
adam29 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 thanks for that mate some good advice what is peg 2 like and im going on the 3rd of april for a week if you was going with a mate which lake and swims would you choose are the singles close together . Quote
tony1971 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 PEG 2 is open water with a tree line on both sides again close to the huts again ther is a bar on the rhs of the swim cumming up to about 5ft in depth from 7 ft there is a bar sml gravel in front as well to be honest m8 if ya want single pegs lake3 is a good option but also lake2 i would way is my fav but like i say its weedy i will be on your coach on the way out there as your courier if anybody has any questions pls bo feel free to ask me on the day but i would say to use the baits that they have been fed on during the winter months and early season mainline would be my choice like i said in carp talk this week cell or a8 are both good baits all the baits on the fishery come direct from mainline factory and were frehley frozen the pellett is superb and a must as some of the fish are stockies and were bought up on pellett till they went into the lakes Quote
adam29 Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 cheers tony see you on the third then mate got my bait ordered ready out there and taking some of my own bait can i ask was you at the kent angling show in november Quote

carpingclive Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 We are going in June both my wife and I have fished Les Quis and did well. This time we are taking our eldest son and I know that they will not be able to cast that sort of distance. I was working on the idea that we could fish down the sides, feed beds of pellets and then little and often with bollies. We found this worked for us at Les Quis catching 55 carp to 38lb 8oz. I am also thinking of useing my favourate pineapple boillies do you think that these could work well. Quote
