trevor_sturgess Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 hay happyman hopefully can help you out as we have just got back and had a dam good week ( again ) we fished 24th to 31st oct and had 23 carp and 2 cats between 3 of us 8 of them being 40+ including a 46lb 8oz common falling to my rods and longstay dave as his known having 6 of them including a 46lb 8oz mirror . we moved around the lake a bit to keep in contact with the fish but swims 10 and 11 were consistant along with 12 in the corner fishing to the margins thats were i had my common . bait wise nash robin red with scopex was our choice but rodger said rosehip by minstrial was taking a lot of fish as well and beleave me hes been about a bit and knows his stuff , listen to what he has to say . dont discard the top end of the lake swims 6 and 7 i think as its packed with features both above water level and below , bars are everywhere its a proper egg box . hemp is a must and lots of it we done 40kg and could have used more i went through 16kg of boillie as well in 15mm fishing double baits with long hairs aprox 60mm there are the dreaded chat but we had no real problem and never felt the need to mesh baits they may be more of a problem in the summer so anybody going earlier take some mesh , better to be prepeared . we have also booked again for next october 23rd to 30th so gonna be asking you questions on your return happy man working away next week but if you have any questions ask or pm me for my number and il answer as much as i can take care trev Quote

matte Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Hi Happy Man Our group were over at Beauregard the first week in October and we had a great time. 30 fish with the biggest 49lb. Agree with everything Trevor said especially about pegs 6 and 7. The fish will move to were ever the pressure is least. We have also booked to go back next year which is rare for us. Remind me nearer you trip and I'll let you know how we got on. Cheers Matt Quote
