shawnsingfield Posted June 7, 2009 Report Share Posted June 7, 2009 Hi i'm fishing it next weekend,wondering if anyone knows of a good bait to use on it? Was going to use Mainline cell? Also wondered how weedy it is? Problem is i dont have a marker rod or spod rod!! so going armed with my boilie stick,pre baiting my swim during the week with a couple of kg, and hoping for the best!! I will eventually get spod and marker rods but got baby on the way and spare money i do have is being spent their . I dont want to just chuck and hope? but would be gratefull for some advice? scopex Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 Im not sure about carping caldecotte, ive only ever fished it for pike during the winter, which resulted in lots of high doubles up to 24lbs ... Never actually seen anybody carping at caldecotte, but as for the weed the water is usually crystal clear, therefore you shud be easily able to see weed pathes, indicated by the darker couloured water areas.
