Im not too sure about the stock levels, but there are some very big carp in there.. I was a LBAC member a season ago, and went there a few times targeting the carp. In the first session I had a screaming run, which was obviously a catfish as it tore my arm off when trying to play it, and it snapped 20lb line coupled with a 25lb hooklink. I've caught big carp before, so it was definetly a cat. The other few times I fished it I caught 2 carp, but these were only around 12lbs each. There are lots of bream in there too, but like I said there are carp in there, but how many I do not know :s

Im not sure about carping caldecotte, ive only ever fished it for pike during the winter, which resulted in lots of high doubles up to 24lbs ... Never actually seen anybody carping at caldecotte, but as for the weed the water is usually crystal clear, therefore you shud be easily able to see weed pathes, indicated by the darker couloured water areas. I take it you still went despite the lack of advice? how did you get on?

I am going fishing tomo for the first time in about a year, due to a hectic part in my life.. Looking for somewhere to dust off my reels, and rusty casting aha.. Has anyone ever been to three island lake in stewkley beds? Looks lyk a carp pond which I could get a few out of to get back into it! any info would be appreciated.. thanks

Hi. I have just been to have a look at a lake not too far from me, Gayhurst lake. As you enter the grounds there is a sign saying private fishing, members of A.M.T.S only.. Is anyone a member of this association? i've tried searching online but cannot find anything.. Thanks

Hey... I live not too far from gayhurst, but have only just found out about gayhurst lakes.. does anyone have information on these lakes, such as weather they are day-ticket and so on... Or alternatively has anybody fished these lakes/lake?.. wb thanks

i have never been to france to go carp fishing before, but im going next year.. any lakes you guys know of that would suit me, in brittany? thanks alot.

When i am using a helecopter rig can i use a pva bag, or will it mess up the aerodynamics? cheers, Scopex:)
