grego Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 the bolt rig helps the hook set when a carp picks up your bait, which can lead to massive reel screeching runs, you need to make sure you have the right equipment to make a suitable, safe set up though. a lot of companies sell full bolt rig setups in one pack with instructions, this will be a good place to start.
