carpyadz Posted April 22, 2009 Report Posted April 22, 2009 Just here to reccomend a lake down in horsham. increadible runs water been going for last 2 years now and caught doubles everytime. costs 15quid for 24hours and that is 3 rods i think, well tht is what i used. just wanted to know if any1 has heard or been to it Quote
kempos Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Been fishing it for a couple of years now, its brilliant for youngsters and experianced anglers. Very well looked after and the match lake is stuffed full of Carp. My mates son had a 21lb 1 foot from the bank on corn. The Match Lake is often booked so a phone call before you plan your trip might be advisable. They now have a 'Silver Fish' lake as well as the other two. Plenty of good fishing but an early start is recommended to try and get the swim of your choice. Have fun Quote

carpyadz Posted May 1, 2009 Author Report Posted May 1, 2009 cool GL, i have booked night fishing swim 1 on the main lake. can u see if any1 has caught please or ask the baliff how its fishings. i just want to have an idea how to prepare considering im coming over a 4 hour journey Quote
kempos Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 No worries. My mate lives in Horsham and fish's regular so I will post any update I can get. You coming with a caravan then or just for one night!!! Thats dedication if its just for the fishing, Quote
carpyadz Posted May 1, 2009 Author Report Posted May 1, 2009 im coming in my bivvy with my m8. we doing 3 days 3 nights Quote
kempos Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Had a good day on the small pond with numerous fish topped by 2x8lb Commons but nothing bigger this time. Spoke to Alan the bailiff about how the big lake is fishing to which he said anything is catching them recently. I spoke to a couple of people and they recommended lunchon meat with sweet chilli sauce added, another was using home made boilies another was sweetcorn? No help really other than its fishing ok, the odd hot days followed by rain is not helping to steady the fishing but does not seem to matter as the fish are taking whatever! Let me know how you get on? Regards Quote

hpe_harry Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Im thinking about fishing this water after reading your comments, do you have to ring and book or just turn up and fish? Does it get busy also on week days? Also ive read that you have to become a member, any info on this? Quote
carpyadz Posted May 14, 2009 Author Report Posted May 14, 2009 you have to be a member to night fish, then when you want your dates you ring up and book in. you dont have to pay til the day you arrive on the bank. you just get set up and when the cafe opens at about 9 go and pay. Quote
