Guest Anonymous Posted January 11, 2006 Report Share Posted January 11, 2006 i have used korda wide gape`s before and was wondering if it is worth switching back as i was worried about spooking the fish from the shine of the hook, i couldn`t belive a article in carpworld with somone useing korda wide gape`s how much they shine in day light. now i carn`t see why people use the coated hooks as i thought this was there main advantage, anyone see this article and have any comment? tonybranno Posted January 11, 2006 Report Share Posted January 11, 2006 I use the coated ESP Raptors but to be honest i think all hooks dull over time anyway, even the shiny ones like the Nash Fangs but if you were happy using the Kordas before then use them again matey. Didn't see the article, but the hooks look ok on my local lakebed, much less shiney lookin than any uncoated i've seen. The mags seem to just fire these comments all the time without any actual evidence. Probably cause they need to write something different for fear of repeating themselves.
