ralphj Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Is it just me being a bit suspicious or is there a hell of a lot of first timers on here asking for advice on Bounty lakes. Instead of starting new threads all the time why not look before you post and use the thread that is already open. Or is it Bounty trying to drum up business as I noticed on another forum they are cutting their prices. Quote
johnhere Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 I have a problem because replying to your post could be seen as me plugging our venue. Its you being suspicious and we have not cut our prices, if you read the post you are referring to you would know it was a special offer and not a price cut, we never spam forums. All popular forums suffer the same problem, guys tend NOT to either do a search or look through the threads to see if their question has already been asked. John Quote
kitchenslave Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Sorry but I guess this reply won't help but this my point of view. I’m new top the forum, new to carp fishing but not fishing and I am going to Bounty Lakes late June this year . I have not fished in France before and to find discussions on fishing in France was very helpful. To find discussion on the actual lake even better. I can understand that forums can be misused but to have a lake where the owners review the forum and help by answering question is a great to see. As far as I’ve seen the Bounty team have restricted them selves to answering question and not selling the lakes. If you read the posts you will see they don't hide there identity and if there is any concerns they are very quick to post replies to ensure everyone knows who they are. For me there is more post about bounty because the owners won’t to ensure they have satisfied customers iby more than just providing a venue to fish. Well done, if more owners put this level of effort into forums they might get a bit more exposure. Oh! Just had another thought maybe the knockers are owners of other lakes that people don't discuss. revtims Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 well said, my own experiences of john and steve have always been honest and genuine,by the way you will love it over there, theyve got a very good set up, food is very good, and there is some nice lumps in there, just dont plow loads and loads of bait in staight away, build your swim up and when they get there heads down then try and keep em there. good luck and tight lines Quote
kitchenslave Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 revtims many thanks for the advise. Quote
mickhodges6 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Report Posted February 22, 2009 new to this forum stuff so did not know what i was doing did not mean to start a argument over who was druming up trade just asked a question and what if the man who owns the the lake is answering the questions asked it shows he cares about his water and establishment good on him but still did not get my question answered good on you john Quote
revtims Posted February 22, 2009 Report Posted February 22, 2009 hia mick, i wouldnt say u need to plow loads of boilies in, i hired a bait boat off them and used there party mix with only a hand full of crushed boilies in there, fish based boilies worked for me, got through about a kilo a day, and about 3 to 4 kilo of particle, i also had fish on a single pop up piece of plastic corn, but like i said before dont plow loads in straight away just build your swim up slowly at first and when they get there heads down give them more. cheers and good luck Quote
