hi guys,

 

ive just joined Billericay & District Angling Club, and one of the club waters is barleylands, any info on this lake (tactics) would be awsome, ive done a search and cant find any info :?: .

watcha essex fella was thinking of joining that myself but didnt know if they had waters with descent size of fish do you know if they have lakes with proper fish in them.

yeah 31 waters in total including a few stretches of river, most of the lake descriptions havent changed in 10 years so they arent very reliable, but barleylands has fish up to 30lb, check out this page mate...

used to belong to BDAC over 25 years ago when they first got hold of Barleyland and before that nasty farmshop and showground was there. Must go back sometime. It used to very good for roach and bream, never fished for carp in those days. I fish a ressie up in beds now. The advantage with these farm ressies is that the water level goes up and down as the farmer needs water. This leads to the lake bed constantly being covered and uncovered so the food levels are kept high and the fish seem to be bigger than in a lake with a constant level.
