not too sure about bait but when i went there before i really got serious into carping people were bait boating rigs close to islands and leaving it for ages and ages without touching it.

I'm not complaining i dont tend to do that sort of thing unless it's something that need to be moaned at. A little aid to those who are looking for new waters in their own local area or even not in their area, Google Maps. The amount of lakes and fisheries and tackle shops i have found this way is unreal, all you have to do is type in "fisheries in .........., where ever you are be it basildon chelmsford further norwich anyway, you'll be surprised how many will come up.

i've used the korda stuff, hybrid coated braid i've never had any trouble with it breaking caught up to 13.5lb with it.

think i may of found it follow the dirt track back to the main lot of buildings theres a really small "lake" just right of all the buildings, not sure if thats the other lake?

i'm same as you mate find one with what looks like 3 islands but cant find the other. The one i've found looks in the middle of nowhere.

i know what you mean kraftycarper you notice it at first but then as the night goes on it sort of sends you to sleep. and the guys in the tackle shop are always helpful.

top man always go with defence and reasoning prepared have to let us know how you get on both with the fishing and the authorities

it may well do just watch out for the council if your not supposed to fish it

watcha essex fella was thinking of joining that myself but didnt know if they had waters with descent size of fish do you know if they have lakes with proper fish in them. kevin

watcha mate fished there a few times doing 24hr sessions on the large specimen lake blanked everytime, though that could be down to me fishing completely wrong for the size of fish. I have only fished for average size fish on runs waters, so dont draw to many conclusions about the place from me. but saying that it is a lovely venue swims are clean and cater for single or double swims little cafe shack there and bait shop baliff always gave me hint everytime i went, would definately give it a go even though i blanked everytime i'd still go back as a challenge. all the best if you do give it a go drop us a personal if ya fancy a little session there.

watcha fella i live bout 2 minute drive from there near ship n shovel pub as far a i know there are still fish in it but i think they stopped people fishing it anytime i go past i never see anyone set up fella
