gazzza1 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 hi is the fishng easy on these lakes and how busy do they get? Quote
cal35 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 fishing gets very busy on snadhurst, as in when i went a couple of months ago there was only about 6 pegs left. fishing can be easy on it but keep an eye on the forecast as a cold snap completely puts them off the feed! hope this helps Quote
gazzza1 Posted January 12, 2009 Author Report Posted January 12, 2009 whats the south lake like Quote
gazzza1 Posted January 12, 2009 Author Report Posted January 12, 2009 im thinking of fishing for a week at the end of may is there shower facilities on site? Quote
cal35 Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 http://www.cemexangling.co.uk/new_site/venueinfo.php?function=viewvenue&venueid=42 that is the website for sandhurst and you can use the site for info on south lake. dont remeber there being showers though, as i said earlier not sure on south lake Quote
marker Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 no showers on sandy but you can pop over to the sports centre over the road and use theirs at a cost of £2 Quote
nitronick Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Something magical about Sandhurst, had a few fish out of there over the years (apart from a 48hr blank aint fished there for 2-3 years) and enjoyed every moment. South Lake has "smaller" fish and is more prolofic if your after getting a bend in your rod. North Lake is a harder lake but out of the 3 is the prettiest. Quote
crappercarper Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 south lake is really nice little lake and great for stalking and getting them off the top, although a lot of people say they wont take them off the top but i have proved them otherwise. just make sure you dont put out loads of mixers just around 4-5 each time until they are feeding hard then freeline with a pva bag of another few mixers in to get the distance of the cast. sandhurst gets very busy all the time and is not my cup of tea, its a lovely lake just rammed all the time.
