Make a large figure 8 loop in your main line, pass this through the leadcore loop and then pass the leadcore through the main line loop. I hope that makes sense. It doesn't strangle/damage the line or the leadcore and makes it quick to detach. I have several rigs on leadcore tied up with pva bags, this way I can attach the whole rig and baited pva bag each cast, then I sit down dry the wet rig out and tie a new pav bag to it, hope this all makes sense and helps. salokcinnodrog Posted November 9, 2005 Report Share Posted November 9, 2005 Gently push a needle through the into the leadcore about a 2cms from the end and burn the end to stop fraying. Then pull your mainline down through the leadcore and needle knot it. You then have a small knot that rig components can pass over in the event of a break.
