Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Try & keep it simple use a standard hair rig but try to find a hook lenght material thats blends in well with the lake bottom..................hope this helps, welcome to the forum Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 simple knotless knot rig works most places and is easy to tie. Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 my favourite is Kryston mantis u can get it in green or gold, bit expensive about 12 quid a spool but it will last ages Quote
sam_l Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 ive herd someone else recomend me that i think i mite give that ago. Â i was thinking about using enterprise sinking maize as there is a large variety of small fish.wot would you recomend i use as a pva bag mix ... bearing in mind that there is no pellets, boilies, groundbait, particles ... but bread crumb is allowed??? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 put what you want in a pva bag mate, they cant check it! Â hemp is a good attractor but will attract small fish, mixed sized pellets are good as they break down at different rates. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 if your going to use maize on the hair, I cant see them having a problem with u using it in a bag thats what I would do, just remember to dry it off first Quote
sam_l Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 yeh i just thought about that once i had said it they cant reali check , but id have to maybe keep them in my bait cooler shut or sumthing wouldnt i. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 yeah i'd do that, i bet every1 else does! Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 lol   Hi Sam, and welcome.  Hooklinks materiall I have found Mantis is very good, because of the outer coating it is quite Tangle free, but of you want a green Flecked Braid have a look at Merlin as well.  I keep quite a few secret baits hidden in the Tackle Box. BFM Boilie sausages that look like peperami, complete with Peperami wrapper around it:cool:  Also try the real peperami, that will catch carp and is fairly small fish resistant, just don't eat it all yourself.  If you put sweetcorn in as a freebie, use Maize on the hook to put off smaller fish.  And I don't ever advocate Breaking Rules.  Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I'm past all that, honest! I've left my Rule Breaking days behind me, besides No Rules that strict on my water at the moment. (Thats probably closer to the Truth) Quote
sam_l Posted September 27, 2005 Author Report Posted September 27, 2005 what would you recommend that i use then in the pva bag then salokcinnodrog if theres no ground bait ,boilies particles like hemp n partiblend, pellets but bread is allowed???? Quote
