jwcarp
I have been asked if i would like a place next year to go to CCC Les Teillatts in France, I have heard some mixed reviews on this lake. None of the party have been before so when i asked them they gave me the old shrugged shoulders, can any one give me a true review on this place, i have heard the fishing can be good but the travel, facilitites and bailiff could be better! I have had a look at the website but of course one sided! Any reviews will be helpfull. Cheers JW
goodwin50
Been four times and as youve stated the fishing is quality but not the easiest. If you get on fish, you can use alot of bait and land quite a few. The bailiff last year (Steve) wasnt the best (lack of knowledge and lazy) but the bailiffs before that were excellent. The traveling down isnt the worse or the best. In summary, good fishing, food ok, travelling ok, just not that sure on the bailiff, but youll have a good week if your catching! jwcarp
Thanks for the info, i have heard that the washing facilities are off site and the toilets is just a hole in the ground is this true?
goodwin50
Yep the washing facilities are off site but ive heard a rumour that showers may be on site now. But theres a larger lake behind the one you fish which is crystal clear so we just had a dip and swim in there a couple of times during the week.. The toilets are a little more than a hole in the ground, youve got two proper toilets that flush. they're alright to be honest.. Check out last weeks carp talk, some lad had a 60 fish haul including a 62 common known as the general from Biffos swim from what i can work out.. Takes some beating that!! jwcarp
I think the catch reports speak for themselves, i think i could probably cope with not having a proper shower for the chance of a fish of a life time! Do you know if the fish come out from all over the lake or do they seem to stick to certain areas? Do you need to hire a boat or can you still have a good result from spodding etc? Cheers
goodwin50
Fish can come from every peg, i just prefer the woods bank or the field bank. You'll find that most your runs come late evening and through the night, not many through the day. But if you find them in the day, dont be scared to stalk. With regards to a boat, its worth having one there if you need it, it makes baiting up your spots easier. You'll have some good fish if you get into them, this is one from last year. I am off to les teillatts at the end of August and I was wondering if there are any double swims? I usually fish with a mate of mine and I want to keep him close so I can laugh when he blanks
david1951
Didn't you ask the owner the question about the double swim before you booked the holiday, very strange??
