bfggiant Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 Sounds like you had an enjoyable week. I've heard John is on his own at the moment doing all the cooking etc. How's he getting on? Quote

bfggiant Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 have you got any pointers bait wise sam, what were you using carp company c&c ? what was Johns food like? Quote
samc82 Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 we used NASH SCOPEX SQUID, All of my fish and 20 of my mates were caught on Scopex Squid tipped with a half a 15mm tutti, with a bag of chops.... Brought back more than we used... Most fish came from the margins (Day & Night)... The food wasn't bad, but a french stick wouldnt of gone a miss with breakfast... Quote
skezzle Posted June 23, 2009 Author Report Posted June 23, 2009 Just returned from damvillers after our 2nd visit. Much more disappointing than last year in terms of catching. Biggest of the week was 34lb. Between the 8 of us we had less than 30 fish with the average size being around 25lb. All fish caught were fighters and were in superb condition. John was on his own and has not found a replacement for Adam and therefore he was relatively busy. The fish caught were mainly from the boat swim and the areas around the fingers. Bait used varied but the majority were caught on the Ice red house bait. The food package was again good quality. To answer the previous quote regards bread at breakfast, we nipped to the bakers every morning to get fresh bread as John wasnt able to arrange this. BFG, when you get back PM me to see what you thought. Quote
mercert Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Hi All, I off to Damvillers in July and any tips etc would be brilliant ! tight or slack lines ? Any Poisson Chat or crays ? particle or boilie ? need to cast to any serious range or not ? Cheers, and any general info on the place would be great too Quote
