tomdavpedley Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 righty then i would begin with recasting my rod every 20mins or so for about 2hours this is to get a bit of a bed of ground bait down, then recast every hour to and hour and a half. i would recomend using a line clip to make sure you are landing on the same spot to get the bait in the same space Quote

tomdavpedley Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 i went fishing last saturday and used a bit of ground bait, vitalin and some corn in a pva on a bolt and some corn on the hair and mangaed a nice 10lber so not to bad! Quote

ian23 Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 yeah vitalin works really well and when the fish feed over it it clouds the water making it harder for them to detect your rigs. I would fish it the same way as sugested recasting every 20 mins for starters. Another way to do it as this recasting may spook fish is to get there the day before if you can and put a bed of bait down then return the next day to fish over it hoping the fish will already be on the bait. If you try this dont recast too much maybe every 45 mins just to top up thebait a little Tight lines. Quote
