hooklengths in weed?

hello everyone,

 

I was just wondering whether it is okay to use a stiff braid e.g striptease in weed, bearing in mind i make a hinge and put putty on the hooklength. Also, what length should the hooklength be in weed, as a general rule, obviously it depends on the situation, but say i was using boilies, spread out on a spot. cheers, steve

This rig is one for use in Weedy waters, it also works in Silty waters where the lead is sinking into the Silt, leaving the hooklink about the silt.

 

Paternosted Lead attached by a Finer Breaking Strain mono, so in the event of the Lead snagging up it will break free.

 

Mono or Fluorocarbon is probably the best material for the hooklink.
