Years ago this used to be a well known (big) carp venue. I've tried researching it on the 'net but can't find a home page. There are some reviews saying great fishing, but not specifying species. rodnreeluk Posted August 26, 2018 Author Report Share Posted August 26, 2018 Had a look at Oham lakes whilst I was in the area. The place is a sad reflection of what it once was. The entrance is like going through Steptoe's yard. I was told stories of carp in the high twenties but got the impression that's all they were - stories. There were plenty of anglers there but no-one was fishing specifically for specimen carp with 2 (or more) rod set-ups. I only saw one person actually fishing with rod and line.
