Genesis, highly recommended.

Just got back from a week on Genesis Lake and thought I would add a report as the venue fully deserves it imo.

 

There was just the two of us on the lake for the week which initially was a slight concern as I thought it a possibility that we could spook the fish out of our area and into a quiet unoccupied part of the lake, but it turned out my fears were groundless.

 

We had 39 fish up to 41lb for the week between us which was very good I felt considering the way the conditions changed massively from start to finish, 33 degrees at the start of the week dropping down to 16 at the end with spells of rain up to 14 hours long - all the fish were in excellent condition and fought very well so clearly in good health.

 

The lake itself is an absolute picture, you could be fishing in a private secluded estate in the depths of the English countryside and Eddie the owner keeps it in pristine condition. We fished peg 5 which is a double swim at one end of the lake and is a natural holding spot, we wanted to fish together for the social side of things but would possibly have caught more if we'd split up and fished peg 5 and peg 1 (at the other end of the lake) as the wind was blowing into there and we saw loads of fish crashing every time we went up for meals etc.

 

Meals were good and large too and the showers etc were spotless, quite hard to find any faults at all really and it's only currently £205 per week plus €120 for the food package. Highly recommended and I will be going back.
