Guest Anonymous
Hi all, any one ever fish Canal pool at kingsbury? A tale of daring do, if yow will. I will say in my Defense I don’t get out fishing much and a few years back 2011 I think I ventured up to pine pool totally oblivious to the UK Carp match thingy my bob they hold there every year (each to their own). Turned up nice and early no one else waiting to get in, park opens great I thought nice slow week day, sped to the pool as you do, and wham the place was packed, all camped out in the car park just getting ready to draw pegs, I was gutted, like I say I don't get out much. So for some reason or emotion I talked the ranger into letting my into the Canal pool side of kingsbury as he was on his way to open the gates for the day, he didn't know I was heading for Canal pool and I didn't say other wise, I gets on canal that was empty as it still had the close season back then and by 11am I had a real confident take from what was a large fish that I lost off the hook due to me getting over excited and [censored]in about with my reel. I did cast back out for it, but by then a couple of pike anglers on the next pool had spotted me and called the ranger to haul me off, I played dumb and took the move onto the pool next to canal, had a nice low double common out of there too so it worked out well in the end. Does anyone fish Canal pool? I swore I’d buy a ticket for Canal and go back when I can get out more, like I can now.
Guest Anonymous
Didn't think I would get any feed back on Canal, I know the anglers on there are helpful, it was a season ticket holder that put me right on Pine pool, he was over on Pine due to the close season on Canal.
