carperjake
Going next week for 72hrs, anyone know anything about it? I'm drawn towards Wellington Lake, I've spoken to the balliff and he reckons it's hard work as it doesn't get fished very often but TBH I'd rather sit out for a better fish than go on Stirling for low doubles. The balliff has also mentioned that there's some new waters local that they have taken over, I might get a crack at one of them too. http://bainvalleyfisheries.co.uk/lakes/lake-hurricane
carperjake
Ok, went to Bain valley for 72hrs, fished Stirling lake, had half a dozen fish, no size, lost a few too (I'm working on the reason for that). Went for a walk round their Wellington lake, 16acres of untapped carpyness. No real swims, saw around a dozen fish to mid 20s. But it's a hike to any fishable areas and you need to set up your bivvy on a 5ft wide path, like fishing used to be when it was all done on the sly! I'll probably go back but not gonna rush to it. Cromwell next methinks. Oh, it's full of snakes too.
