smufter Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Finding favourable little "snippets" about the place on the 'net but can't find a website or info on rules, prices etc. Anyone on here fished it, and if so....any clues???? Ta Rob Quote
brighton_carper Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Never fished it for Carp, but have chased the giant Perch there a few times. The bottom lake has twice held the British Perch record, and I think it might still hold it at 6lb 3oz. I think the middle lake is better for bigger Carp. The place was sold about a year ago and I think it's now managed through a tackle shop in Crowborough, at least that's where you make bookings, so I guess they'd also be able to give you a run down on the rules. dougmoon Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 1st lake you come to. Kingfisher has the bigger carp in (and perch). Cc more live is the going bait and the best swims 1&2. There is a bar from the monk. 25 per 24 at weekends 20 during the week. Best place for tickets is crowborough tackle shop Quote

brighton_carper Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Tony had all his perch at night. That's interesting, I've always thought of Perch more as a sight feeder. I'm guessing he was using prawns or lobworms? Quote

It's not often you have the chance of bagging a fish close to a British Record, or even an actual British record. Quote

Almost as much as Bream I love Bream too, if they're big enough. Was well chuffed with a 10.6 Abramis Brama I picked up in the spring. Quote
