Pop-up rigs, how high on clay?

fishing clay botom gunna use pinapple pop up how high would you pop it up bearing in mind pretty clear bottom and im fishing over pinapple partickle but no freebies as in boilie

I would have it more like a wafter if I was using a pop up but tbh if fishing a hard clay bottom I would fish a bottom bait with a piece of fake corn.
