tel58
I'm new to the forum and just come back from my first visit to france, arrived at 10 am and soon as i arrived was made very welcome by Iian & Kim with a welcoming cup of tea then shown around. On my way to my peg stopped of to meet my new neighbours for the week Andy & Julie, brilliant couple helped me with rigs and photos through the week two friends of theirs on the other bank Dave & Paul. The banter and mick taking had me in tears with laughter right through the week. My pb before i went was 15lb broke that more or less straight away with a 17+lb fish i was over the moon, then the fish just kept coming my new pb is now 24.09lb to say i'm pleased is an understatement. To top it all i allways wanted to catch a catfish at 7.11lb was just a kitten compared to Julie & Andy's cats they were both over 40lb plus a few 30+lb carp, Dave on the other side had a 41lb Mirror well done that man. the food what can i say amazing all home cooked by Kim, what a fantastic week big thanks Iian & Kim cant wait to go back. blankeds
Yes Makes, Blondie, Kim and Iain all called me lots of different names, but Dave was definately not one of them? But never mind Tel, you stick to sharpening sticks and skinning the rabbits and rats whilst polishing your pick axe shaft. It was an excellent week mate, loads of fish as usual graced the bank all round, chuffed I broke my Rushes Lake PB, Kim and Iain excellent hosts, too much food Kim..... I haven't been fishing for over a year and this was an amazing trip, Thanks Kim, Iain, I had a great week, I caught shed load of fish, I could have had more if I wasn't so lazy. blondee
Thats a bit harsh on poor Tel, I never saw him sharpening his pick axe handle, mind you there were plenty of sticks around from the trees to sharpen.
