noodler
I went in April last year and had such a good time i booked the same week this year before i left the place Rob and Lin are great hosts and nothing was to much trouble. We had cooked breakfast delivered to our Bivvies every morning and hot dinners every night. Any provisions we needed Rob was more than willing to pick them up in town, he goes in every day. The fishing is excellent, my mate and I had 6 30s and about 20 20s but we didn’t move from the bank for 7 days. If you want to have real success then just listen to Rob. He knows the lake really well and every evening before sundown he was rowing my baits out for strategic placing and plenty of baiting. There are some 40s in the lake but I don't think one came out last year so this year should be the year. When we went in April 06 the majority of the 20s we had were 25+ and if I remember rightly 3 or 4 of them were 29. I had a 24.5 common and a 25.5 common about an hour apart which was fantastic and we did a lot better than we hoped. I can't wait to go in April this year especially as he has the new hard standing bivvies which will make things even better than before. To sum it up it is a great venue very peaceful with great hosts and great fishing. Rob is one of those people that if you want him around he is happy to stand chat and have a beer but if you want to be left alone then no problems. Have a great time and let me know how you get on. I have just checked the site and can't find the feedback from 2006 so I will mail Rob and get him to put it back up. Just a few pics to whet your appetite. dugyfresh
Just an update, I have been to Les Burons 3 times in twelve months there has been further improvements, further stock added, major plus! all pegs have been extended and wood chipped. Power and lighting is soon to added to the hard bivvies I smashed my pb in 1 night by landing 27lb 33lb and a 40lb carp These fish fight as thou they are on steroids, if you want to test your carping skills try Les Burons
