The Paul White party were down from Preston on their first French fishing trip and they seem to have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - so much so they are coming back next year! Within 24 hours Matt Balch had destroyed his PB of 22lbs with a stunning 40lb Mirror and followed it up with a 64 lb Cat, then he beat his PB again with the same 44.10 lb Mirror that came out earlier in the week to Vinny Balazs. Ben Snell caught the biggest Cat at 66 lb and Paul White had a 57lb Cat. The final catch report was: Carp:- 40, 28, 21.4, 26.2, 44.10, 37, 38, 20.02, 35, 44.10, 37.5 & 33.12 lbs plus 36 doubles. Catfish:- 66, 55, 64, & 57 lb Their comments were:- " Had a fantastic week. Food and fishing were 5*. Booking again for next year. Biggest Carp 44.10lb, biggest Cat 66lb. Thanks to Dave & Sue for their hospitality and help during the week" (Check out their photos on our website) As I said a great start to the season. Brian Cunny caught the first 40 of the week with a 41.14 Mirror but was beaten in the end by Mick Z who landed a stunning 43.10 lb Mirror but unfortunatly Mick got Brian to take the photos! (obviously he blamed the camera!) Final catch report was:- Carp: 25.02, 28.12, 36.10, 41.14, 29.04, 36., 21., 24., 43.10, 33.03, 36.02, 32.04, 37.08 & 38.11 lb plus 11 doubles. CATS:- 48.04 & 29.02 lb "Excellent fishery, fantastic food, my best week in France upto now. Will come back again." Check out the website for all the pictures. Due to a computer crash we haven't been able to update you all with the latest catches here at Windmill but now that's been fixed here goes Mark Driver Crew: 23-30 April 2011 CARP: 28.2& 27 lb CATS: 52, 32.04, & 51.05 lb Fishing wasn’t the best due to spawning week before and high pressure’s. Food was fantastic, thanks. Great food, PB Cat at 52lbs Thanks. Nigel Baker Party: 30 April - 7 May 2011 CARP: 24.11, 32.04, 27, 28 lb plus 8 doubles. CATS: 25, 23, 34.12 & 50.04 lb Fishing still difficult on the Carp Lake. Even so some good fish caught. Cat Lake fantastic, P B 50 lb 4 oz Cat and four others to 34lb. Get the braid on and enjoy the action. Dave and Sue could not be more helpful. Food awesome! Only time I’ve put weight on fishing. Carp Trek Crew: 7-14 May 2011 CARP: 24, 37, 32, 35, 33.08, 31.04, 34.04, 34.04, 27.08, 45.08 lb plus 4 doubles. GRASSCARP: 42 lb CATS: 53, 32, 33, & 59 lb Another cracking week, great fishing, great hospitality, superb food. Thank you very much. Hope to see you next year and for many years to come. Daniels Party 14-21 May 2011 CARP: 27.02, 25., 21.06, 22.02, 31.03, 22.10, 25., 34.09 lb plus 45 doubles GRASSCARP: 39.06 lb CATS: 52.08 & 62 lb Fantastic weeks catch on the Cat Lake with over 1000lb of fish including 2 Cats at over 50lb. Grasscarp at 39 lb 4oz caught on Carp Lake with all Carp at 30 lb and above. Once again outstanding food package tops a great week. Thanks to Sue & Dave. THE PEPERELL PARTY 21-28 May 2011 CARP: 10 doubles. CATS: 73, 32.08, 51, 63, 22 & 20lb "Fantastic weeks fishing on the Cat Lake with a lot of Cats caught, these ranged between 22,32,51,73 & 63. It seemed that going out in the boat to drop your rig was like ringing the dinner bell as we had instant bites after, including a double hook up. As well as good fishing the food and catering was brilliant so a huge thanks to Dave & Sue" You can now see a video of Toby Keer trying to hold a 62lb Catfish on our website. CATS: 53, 54.08, 52.07, 59.09 & 62.11 lb Good weeks fishing, difficult conditions, cold winds, hot & bright during the Day. Plenty of fish from the Cat Lake including 5 x 50lb plus Cats. Carp Lake tricky! Great food as usual and wonderful hospitality. Thank you Dave & Sue. ADAM, PAUL & TERRY 4-11 JUNE 2011 CARP: 39.15 Grasscarp & 50 doubles, CATS: 50 & 70 lb Good weeks fishing with 2 Cats, 1@ 50 and 1 @ 70lb Grassy 1oz under 40lb, lots of doubles. The whole Windmill Lakes complex is the best I’ve been to, no doubt about the Food but the fishing lakes were both outstanding, clean and the best to date, Even in good old Blighty. COLIN CLAXTON PARTY 25 JUNE - 2 JULY 2011 CARP: 24 lb plus 28 doubles CATS: 70, 65, 42, 60, 46, 65, 55, 80, 66 & 50lb Third time here, just gets better, good fishing as usual, fantastic food, can’t wait To get back here again. THE GRIMSHAWS 09-16 JULY 2011 CARP: 28.06, 35, 28 LB GRASSCARP: 30.10, 25, 22.02 and new lake record 46lb 8oz What can you say? We came to chill out and maybe bank 1 or 2, well I’m knackered ! More bleep and a Carry on Film, 8 fish landed at time of writing including lake record Grassie, good hard fishing, not run after run. Cabin great, so I’m told. I have been On many a trip to France and this is by far the best place I’ve been. Dave and Sue Are so hard working we wish them well in this venture - we will be Back!!!!!. Sue) Great lake, hard going to start but when they moved onto feed was promising. Will be back hopefully this year. Can’t wish for a better fishery. Nice and quite. Dave & Sue can’t be more accommodating. Caught over 1100 lb of carp plus 2 cats. What sport! We will be back next year. BRIAN ARNOLD PARTY 10-17 SEPTEMBER 2011 CARP: 27.06, 37.06, 27.04, 24.02 plus 8 doubles Had excellent company with the above guys. Lovely venue, brilliant host, could not have done more. Fishing was Slow but still enjoyed it. DARREN SMITH 10-14 OCTOBER 2011 (4 DAYS) CARP: 30.10, 40, 29.08, 41.06, 36.12, 5 RUNS MISSED Brekkie awesome, no need to eat again all day. Fishing was hard-but once on the “Hot spot” I bagged up and beat my PB several times, happy days. Thanks to Sue Definately will be back.
