bigfishjames
Hi Gary, great choice of lake. we went there last year and had a good trip. firstly the owner is a nice guy and his baguettes he brings ropund each day are enough food for the day. I think we had 27 fish between 6 of us with the biggest being 40lb 6 mirror. its pretty easy fishing just pick your spots and stick to them keep the beds of bait tight. We fished with fish meal bottom baits and pellet as feed. We used about 10 kilos of boilie each for the week. I have heard that the lake can get weedy in the hight of the summer but we went in March and it was no problem at all. If you need anymore info then ask away. If not then have a good time which im sure you will.
garysmith49
thanks for that i had a few concerns as i also heard it got weedy but going in april so hope to get in before it gets to heavy as been france 3 years running without a fish so last attempt, if i fail this year the im off to ireland next time as the reports there are fantastic, 1 other question you might be able to help with, cars around the lake for unloading stuff is there access to get around or rules on the subject cheers
bigfishjames
You will be fine in april with the weed as i heard it does not got really bad till about june / july. 3 year blank is bad. where have you been fishing calais pier lol. i cant see it poss to not catch at tournizet mate. one thing i did find out when i was looking into the lake most people said that a good quality bait is needed. we managed to get the motors to the swims but we did have a bit of rain on the last night and could not get the cars back out easily. garysmith49
thankyou once again for the info i am glad about getting the cars around to the swims as the ole back aint to strong these days and need to save the energy for the fight (hopefully) of the fish, how close is the cabin and what swim would you suggest as being the better of the 8 available? bigfishjames
no worries I know what it is like trying to find info on some lakes. if it does not rain before you get there you will be able to get to all the swims with a car. the cabin is just behind number 1 peg and that is where i fished. everyone had fish from all the pegs. we found that the fish moved around loads when we was there and there was no peg that really stood out apart from the peg that i was on but that was due to me being a better angler than the rest!!!!! thats what i told them lot anyway!!!!
