vinyljunkie Posted September 24, 2010 Report Posted September 24, 2010 you could head north and get a Cambridge FPAS ticket http://cambridge-fpas.co.uk/ for about 25 quid i think gives you a fair choice of waters within 30-45 mins drive as well as some good bits of the Cam. their are also a couple of waters around Saffron Walden that may interest you hear http://www.saffronwaldenac.btik.com/p_Venues.ikml clavering is ok i think lots of stories of huge fish that never ever seem to make an apperance on the bank but i am sure you will get a bend in the rod their! i personally haven't fished their for years but have chatted about the place in the pub and seems it does attract a few noddy's. alos just found this on a google search not to far away http://www.foxearth-leisure.co.uk/carp_lake_gallery.html hope some of these are of use Dan Quote

essexpremiumbaits Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 Clavering is full of small stuff you will be luck if you get a double and at £25 a night is a joke. Quote
brighton_carper Posted October 11, 2012 Report Posted October 11, 2012 Fished there a couple of times last year while teaching a mate from Safrom Waldon to fish. Don't think there's anything massive, even in the speci lake, but last time I went I had six off the top upto about 12lbs. The whole place looks a little too artificial for my taste, but it was ok.
