windmilllakes Posted July 22, 2010 Report Share Posted July 22, 2010 These are the catch reports and comments received from our guests this year so far......... 27/03-03/04 2010: Van Houdt Party CARP: 36, 27, 28, 34 & 27 lb plus 4 doubles CATFISH: 47 & 30 lb We will be back.... 17/04-23/04 2010: Allen Jones & Roger Taylor CARP: 31.5, 35.5, 37, 43, 43 & 32. GRASSCARP: 24, 22, 22, 40 & 36lb CATFISH: 58, 40, 65, 72 & 56 lb Great lakes, great hospitality,. 780lb Carp & Cats, 6 new PB’s between us so great fishing as well ( even big Carp eat small baits) 24/04-01/05 2010: Trevor Jones & Graham House CARP: 21.12 plus 35 doubles, CATFISH: 25.8 & 42.8lb 2nd visit. Great lakes, hospitality and food as good as ever. Nothing a problem for Dave & Sue. Will be back. Take note of what Dave tells you. Great week even though the fish were spawning for nearly 3 days, still had 50 fish. GREAT!! 01/05 - 08/05 2010: Mike Waters Party CARP: 41, 26.4, 26, 21, 39 & 26 plus 41 doubles. CATFISH: 49, 64, 24, 24, 24.8, 27, 38, 34, 50, 31 & 47lb Lakes in pristine condition, fantastic Catfish action day & night. The setting was idylic. Many thanks Sue & Dave for being great hosts. The food was superb. We all achieved several personal bests. PERFICK! 08/05 - 14/05/2010: Richard Grootveld Party CARP: 35.4, 25.3, 31.3, 34.4, 23.2, 30.37, 22.2, 20.2, 28.3, 20.2, 33.4, 39.3, & 36.4lb (only fish over 10KG noted) Weather was not that good, very cold nights. Nice venue, we catch some nice 30’s, three of us caught a new PB. Think we come back sometime.! 22/05 -28/05 2010: Terry Hadley Party CAT LAKE ONLY CARP: 22.8, 20.,4 x 23lb plus 24 Doubles, CATFISH: 38.lb (Weather was extremely hot and the fish were spawning again! Sue) I have never been to a lake that I have enjoyed so much. Food out of this world - Roy Tinkler One of the best places I have ever been, food so good it’s better than home. - Ed Tongue 3rd time here but no fish this time (spawning Cat Lake) but Sue & Dave fantastic, food 4 star. See you next year - T Hadley. 29/05 - 04/06/2010: STAINES MASSIVE RETURNS CARP: 26.8, 38.14, 26, 22, 38, 26.8 & 28LB plus 36 doubles. GRASSCARP: 37.4 & 36LB. CATFISH: 18.7, 36, 35, 45., & 51 lb. Fishing fantastic until hot weather came in. Food was excellent as usual. Well done Sue & Dave we had a great time! - Wiff & Ag Smith Everything was as good as last time, thank you - Andy Collins Out of this world, food amazing, fishing great. Can’t wait to come again!!!! - Herm 26/06 - 02/07/10: Colin Claxton & Darren Norris CATFISH: 75, 70, 63, 62, 64, 65, 55, 51, 50, 52, 10 between 20 - 50lb CARP: 5 doubles to 20lb Second visit to Windmill, fishing was fantastic, loads of Cats & Carp. Dave & Sue very nice people, food was great, will be back soon. Here is their catch reports and comments.... Carp: 38.14, 34.8, 36.10, 31., 31.6, 29.4, 30.4, 24.10, 38.2, 38.2, 20.12, 29.2, 27.10, 27.10, 30.4, 30.4, 30.8, 30.8, 27.7, 24., 28., 29.7, 30., 26.15 & 35.7 (Pretty impressive ) Absolutely great fishing, caught over 1000lb of Carp, lots of 30's upto 38.10, would definately come again. Place is spotless, fair play to the owners for their efforts in every way. Loved the place, fishing fantastic. Great average weight. No complaints whatsoever plus to cap it all PB Carp! See our website for the pictures. Their comments were "Great lake, caught some good fish including my record fish so far! Nice people, we really enjoyed our week here. windmilllakes Posted September 7, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 7, 2010 The Griffin party of 6 joined us for this week and were split 2 fishing the Cat Lake and 4 fishing the Carp lake. We finally got some much needed rain and the weather was pretty changable all week. Here's their catches and comments:- CARP: 33.15, 35.01, 37.02, 31, 35, 33.04 & 38 lb, 29.10, 24.08, 26.03, 26.09, 26.10, 28.04, 24.06, 27.08, 28.05, 29.07 & 24.05 lb plus 30 doubles. CATS: 50.02, 47.15, 45.05, 45.03 & 47.11 lb Good lake caught some big good looking fish. Nice lakes, hard water, fish with plenty of bait and the catches will come – lovely carp. windmilllakes Posted September 16, 2010 Author Report Share Posted September 16, 2010 The Moore Family joined us for a 2 week stint on the Carp Lake and despite soaring temps they had some beautiful catches, here are their comments:- CARP: 27, 34, 37.02, 24., 33.4, 30, 37.6, 37, 43.04, 28.04, 28, 31, 34, 28, 28, 32 & 38.4 lb + 2 Commons at 25 lb GRASSCARP: 43.05 & 37 lbs Very good stamp of fish. Both acheived P/B’s. Quite, peaceful, just what the doctor ordered. Sue and Dave are great hosts, just ask and you will be given. 10/10. Check out the photos on our website.
