Taswood Heron Lake Norfolk

I am fishing Heron lake at the Taswood complex for a 24 hr stint tomorrow morning and as I have never fished it before I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to tackle it??

 

Should I use a marker float or will that disturb the area far too much, or should I just case out a lead and feel it down and that??

 

Any help would be great

there isnt any underwater features trust me. its all 4 foot deep featureless chod. it was dug simply as a bowl. fish to the pads!!
