  1. Is there any way of finding out the depth of the silt?
  2. I just thought of trying something completely different to every one else who fishes the lake, they all seem to use the lead clip and most of them are using korda leaders as leadcore is banned and I wouldn't use it anyway. I have been using Nash Limpit camo leaders on a lead clip and a short braided hooklink about 3-4 inches on with nash Fang twister hook (even tried KD style bottom bait), whereas everyone else seems to use about 6+ inch hooklength
  3. Has anyone ever a chod/silt style rig for a standard bottom bait or would it work?? The reason I ask is one of the lakes I fish has a shallow covering of silt and although a normal lead clip works I would like to try something different apart from a running rig
  4. I am fishing Heron lake at the Taswood complex for a 24 hr stint tomorrow morning and as I have never fished it before I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to tackle it?? Should I use a marker float or will that disturb the area far too much, or should I just case out a lead and feel it down and that?? Any help would be great Cheers Ian
  5. Kingfisher has now gone over to syndicate @ £200 and i cant afford that!!
  6. I know and its run by a copper too!! Can't wait to get back near to Milton Keynes, loads of lakes, river and canal to fish!
  7. Hi everyone, I am looking for a good carp lake within about an hour of Thetford, Norfolk (IP24) I can't afford huge syndicate fee's, as I know I have got the Nunnery Fisheries right next to me but so I have been told the fee's are over a grand for the first year and you can't night fish it either, so a really good day ticket water where you can night fish would be fantastic, especially as I want to improve my technique and become better! lol Could also do with finding a fishing buddy as I hate fishing by myself with no one to talk to and if they could give me some help and advice that would be fantastic Cheers Ian
