mattypee
thought id clear a few things up about lakemore, as that link is full of rubbish. ( and its old ) firstly the owner ( mark ) does not come round checking ya rigs, yes he doesnt like lead core, as it can harm the fish , ( he does like to walk around in the evening to see how you are getting on ) and he doesnt walk round with ya before you fish. now to the good stuff. ive fished the horseshoe a few times, and id say its quiet a hard water to fish, location and tactics have to be spot on. there is alot of weed in there, so you need to find the clear spots, but mark and the staff have been working very hard to sort this out, and it wont be long before its all gone. all the pegs produce, hot pegs i would say are 2 - 5, but if you aint fished any of the lakemore lakes before. id start on longlake ( i love this lake ) far pegs are the most productive of the lot, but the fish do move about and goes to show as the bigger fish come out from the car park pegs ( soon as you walk onto the lake either side ) but give the middle pegs ago ( inbetween the islands, ) HOLD ONTO YA RODS THO!! cause if you get a run the cats will take you round the islands. bait to use:- most bait works for the cats. squid liver (s) pellets boilies ( sbs m1's ) or ( mainline active-8 ) ive had lots of 20's out upper and lower. and a lovely 35lb11oz ( all cats ) ive had a few carp out to 19lb but i only go there to fish for the cats macdonalds not far down road and theres a kebab shop that deliverys to the fishery. and you can put ya mind at rest at night knowing that you car is safe, as the gates are locked at night hope this helps you out ( and clears up a few things about the place ) tight lines matty
