Hi lads, anyone been here? Booked myself in for long overdue 48hr sesh. On speci lake,the one with 9 swims. liking the sound of it carp n cats galore! Any tips on lake areas, likely/known spots would be helpful Sent from my P9000 using Tapatalk

Apparently they've treated, don't know what to though! Yeah prob go back for a day sesh, sitting behind motion less rods for 48hrs is soul destroying. Did see a couple of fish Friday afternoon but they were in thick unfishable weed

I had every rig you can imagine going on,chod,bags,sticks. Fished clear spots,weedy spots, the fish weren't on it at all, no shows to go on

Talk about a disappointing trip, not a sniff, way too weedy to fish to be honest mate,should of pulled off into puma lake. Oh well. Very expensive camping trip it turned out to be

Hope I do too!! Going one rod on solid bag with maggot,one on pop up and one with my stick mix and snowman rig, should work.....

Better idea, get a inline lead, drop off style, tie choddy straight to ring swivel, put in solid Pva bag with hook poking out of bottom, fill bag with pellets,liquid,crushed hemp,krill powder, tie bag. Then tie pop up on to hook. Might use this idea next week. My thinking is choc comes directly from lead, hooking potential is increased greatly

Same,I don't have the time, running a printing firm is full time, I prefer to catch when I go,time is precious. This is why I don't fish the uber hard lake literally 5 mins from me but choose to fish a medium to hard water 20 mins away most Saturdays. This monk lakes thing is a little social I've planned, just somewhere that could throw up a decent fish. I'm no noddy when it comes to carping so in with a shout. Be good to get a cat,never had one before

Have you fished menards? That's hard, but the lake down the road from me is rock hard, if you get more than 10 fish out your top rod! Mental. Guy I know blanked for 6 months strsight

Just out of interest, how hard is mallard lake to fish? When I said about doing a day on there they laughed and said we don't like people doing days as it's a hard lake! Really?????
