    Snake rig

Not liking this one cause of the unpredictability of where the hook will land after a cast....maybe could be a good margin rig?
  2. I like the fact that its the hook that moves back into the mouth and not the boilie...i can see that working well...

    Amnesia

Very funny...i walked into that one...lol Seriously though do most people use it as part of a combi-rig (like i used to) or do people have uses for it in other ways?

    Amnesia

I've not used this for a very long time - does anyone still rate it and if so would they mind giving advice on a good end rig. Got given some by a mate who never uses it. Cheers.
  5. Don't worry - as long as it's tied correctly then its brilliant.
  6. Ditto. Kryston Super Mantis (Gold and Green types) has caught me more fish than any other makes. Although i really dislike their Snakebite.
  7. ESP leadcore or TFG leaders for me. Very little difference in catch rates between the 2. Gotta say that i think the leadcore is safer when you are playing the fish. Not as harsh against the scales'

    help

Usually 4oz leads (shape dependant on what i'm fishing to/over) and 3 - 4" coated hooklinks with the last 1/2" of coating removed for presentation.

    help

My catch rate has massively improved since using short hooklinks along with heavy leads.

    stack rig

Only time i've used this type of method was done with 3 tiny pineapple pop ups cut down to look like corn...i did it because i ran out of the real stuff half way into my session! Any way it worked ok (2 commons both around 9lb) but i had worries over the presentation so have not used it since. I gotta say i think using 5 big boilies is going a bit far...I'd rather just put on a big donkey choker.
  11. I find that the Fox backleads with the flouro cord attached are great. Like another member said though, don't overtighten the line or you risk the line pinging out of the little clasp.
  12. I was sceptical about using shrink tubing at first, but i have to say that my catch/hooking rate has really improved since using it. The aligner method definately helps to pull the hook home properly when using bolt rigs for example. Thumbs up from me.
