Hello guys I'm looking at a house move end of April to upton upon severn. I'm trying to source a nice syndicate lake for carp fishing but I'm not seeing much on the Internet Id like to be sorted ASAP so I can hit the ground running can anyone help.

Ok I live in the willenhall area west mids I need a new syndicate as my guy is selling up and turning it into a day ticket water anyone got any suggestions I need some degree of disabled access so nice old farm pools are out

Ok im sold i love braid on a light rod the feedback is amazing but i see your point i do use braided hooklinks ive not noticed any damage to fish through it but i see your point it could be a source of damage in the right/wrong circumstances foul hooking etc i will certainly consider my use of braid in future as for leadcore i still stand by my opinion particularly long leaders

I'm still having the same problem it's getting frustrating now I landed 3 fish no issue but still bounced out of 4 including one absolute screamer is it as daft as my cluch needs to be tighter to take out the initial bounce of the take I have the Hookbait about 3 inches from the lead

Yes interesting thread thanks for the link i love this forum im off tomorrow for a few hours I've re tied my rod up so we shall see i tell you all one thing for a cop out rig there is an awful lot of work in getting it right

Oooowha dont get the hump its a rig essential in some situations but you have to agree to use it every time we go out it takes away the need to think about our rig presentation and taking out the need to think is taking the essence of carp fishing our area of sport is heavily based around the rig we use and this is and should be evolving all the time

Vitalin is fantastic almost all there ready to go I grind it to a coarse grain add approx20% cornmeal hay presto you have a very effective groundbait I add a little betaine to give it a kick as well carp love it !

Surly mono and braid under tension can be just as damaging to mr fish if it comes into contact it is unrealistic to think our catching of a fish leaves no damage whatsoever we just have to limit our own handling of the fish to my mind, I've used leadcore but don't like it but I think the issue with it is more a case of two points. 1.if snapped off it neutralises the effect of the lead making it more difficult for a fish to free itself by shaking against the lead
2. Some fishery owners are starting to mither about how lines degrade when left in the lake and it's fair to say leadcore would be a long old time for a potentially lethal snag to hang in the water.
Please don't shout at me these are my own interpretations of my reading so if I'm wrong or have mis understood then sorry in advance

Yes already bought my BARBLE gear and joined a syndicate stretch at Hanley castle and the hams 500 yards from the front door ! I also hear there are some large river carp to be caught, but I do like a nice carp lake and they all seem to be commercials
