i'd have no hesitation casting the second rig out and in this rig the loop knot should push the bait away from the lead as well

sorry mate it may be me getting old and senile but i seem to remember df recommending not to use loop knots in one of their hook lengths.i may be wrong but i thought it was supernatural

it will catch carp as long as those knots hold.i think i would be tempted to just strip back the coating to get the same effect.apologies if i'm seeing it wrong.not having a go like as like i said it will catch
