  1. Hi everyone ive got the JRC Radar CX alarms in blue but the reciever is playing up a bit, when you turn it on it doesnt always turn on and i have to fiddle with the button a bit to get it to connect, i think the problem is a loose connection or maybe a dry solder somewhere. Does anyone know if they can be taken apart so repairable? Ive looked for a new reciever and the multi coloured one is available but cant find the blue one. I did contact jrc but they weren't very helpful. Thanks.
  2. Hi everyone has anyone got any tips for keeping the gas bottle warmer during these cold winter nights?. I've got a cover for it but its usually got so cold overnight that the gas trickles out in the morning which is a pain when you're gagging for that first brew in the morning. Thanks.
  3. Yes they come with covers and haven't used them in the rain yet to be honest
  4. Yeah ive got a set and absolutely love them. A mate of mine who is far more experienced than me was so impressed after seeing mine that he sold his wychwood ones and bought himself a set.
  5. Hi everyone, just wondered what everyone's opinions were of buzz bars or pods and which do you use?. I usually use a pod but most people I know use buzz bars and poo poo pods. Just wondered if there are reasons where one may be better than the other or is it just a personal thing? Thanks.
  6. Hi guys I'm thinking of getting some snag ears but don't know which to get for my set up. I use a Nash H-Gun 3 Rod Pod, JRC Radar CX Alarms and Fox Black Label Slik Bobbins. Don't want to pay huge amounts of money but have heard the NGT ones are no good so you get what you pay for I suppose. Thanks.
  7. My boy got me one for xmas and I love it, 2 white light settings and 2 red.
  8. Hi everyone, me and a mate were discussing this question so hopefully someone knows the answer. If, shall we say 3 mates were carping together in 3 neighbouring swims and having a bit of a social so visiting each other for say the odd beer or 2 but all these people had the same make and model of alarms, would the alarms and/or receivers interfere with each other? Thanks.
  9. Probably haha
  10. Hi everyone, been talking at work today about bobbins and I can remember seeing some fox white bobbins and they had the fox logo on them but cant remember where or when I saw them. Now nobody at work had seen them and ive done a search and cant find any so think I must have dreamt them. Has anyone on here seen them or know what I'm talking about or would even know where to get some? Thanks.

    Shrink Tube

Morning guys virtually everyone I know uses shrink tube on their hair rigs so going to try using it myself. I've been told to just put it in the steam coming out of a hot kettle to shrink it but wont this steam harm the line?. Don't know whether to go this way or just get some line aligners. What do you guys use?.

    Hooks

Hi guys just wondered what make, size and/or style of hooks you guys mostly use? Thanks.
  13. Actualy now im a bit confused, im looking at item number 281475939906 on fleabay and it says both silicone tube and shrink tube in the title so don't know which it is
  14. Ok thanks, well just had a look at the heat shrink tubing and the smallest internal diameter I can see is 0.75mm, would that be ok for this job?
  15. Hi guys a friend of mine uses this to cover the knots on his hair rigs and on the hook shank to hold the hair and I want to order some to do the same job but don't know what size internal diameter to get. The tubing im looking at has a selection of internal diameters between 0.5 - 3mm. Could someone please recommend a size to get?. Thank you.
