i like using 12lb pro tough 1-2oz lead with either a saftey clip bolt rig style or a running rig and bead both allways to a swivel then hooklenght generally 7" long with soft braid or just standard mono on gravel size 8 hooks on blowback rig or sometimes kd/snowman.
