You got it in one, I want to connect my main line direct to the leader clip swivel then from the other end of my swivel connect my hook length hair rig. Would this be ok? Thanks

Hi i am new to carp fishing, my question is.... on ready made rigs i noticed you have hook length connected to a swivel which goes into a lead clip then braid from the other end of the swivel which connects to your mail line. But can you connect you manl line without using braid direct through your lead clip tied direct to the swivel? is there any difference? Thanks
