    Great stuff. Very encouraged when I see pics like this. Trying not to think of a 20lb eel though. In Sydney for Xmas so might have another crack at Lake Parramatta. Thanks for sharing.

    Tried the Yarra at Wonga Park yesterday. Freelined spam then tried corn and worms. No luck but plenty of fish rolling. Will definitely go back again and explore further down stream. But earlier. By mid-afternoon it turns into teen-bogan central.

    Many thanks for all the replies. Much appreciated. Had a feeling Vic folk were fairly quiet for obvious reasons but I'm sure I'll bump into a few if I stick at it. I'm in N Melbourne but can travel any where. Will give Cherry another go as got too much attention last time. All the best.

    Hi all. Great forum, first time I've posted. Can anyone help me out with suggestions where to fish for carp in or around Melbourne? Lake Eppalock wasn't bad but somewhere closer to home would be useful. All the best Dave
