Good luck!!
-
Not an out and out runs water but I've always had some sort of contact with a few carp and sometimes managed to land a few... it never seems to be that busy during the week either so plenty to choose from, that's if you're going on a week day, not sure about the weekend

Higham Farm Nr Chesterfield 4 lakes to choose from

None...

Hello good luck with your search...
-
I thought it was more of a pike water?? I used to go down in the winter spinning for them, had a few too
-
I fish most of the time with mono/fluro. I have some braid but just prefer the monos...don't know why maybe someone can convince me to use braid a bit more
-
hey, does anyone have any recommend hooks and hooklinks for zig fishing.
cheers
dan
I use fox zig/floater hooklink, works for me, hooks are some fox ones in size 10 which are a very small 10, armapoint I think
-
i also use the korda hooks and they seem fine for me. also ive been trying the inline fox bubble float ( adjustable zigs ) but some times the float and my bait dont seem to rise up to the surface? i am using it with an inline lead. any body else useing these?
I use one of these but not with an in-line lead I have the slik ring and link for attaching the lead it comes up every time no problem

I've had more success using size 10/12 (gardner muggas) hooks rather than chod hooks which tend to only be available in the bigger sizes but the fish I catch are in the 10/20 lb range
-
did you not fancy Korda Krispies?? The thinking anglers breakfast...oh this could go on for ever...........Korda Koffee in a Korda Koffee Kup anyone?
-
...and I'm sure that will feature on the next Danny video too!!
P.S. What were you doing in his bedroom?? Under his Korda Kuilt no doubt...
-
I'm surprised you're not saving this for the next Danny video sorry I mean Korda video!!
-
I've been looking for something different to try, think I'll give this a go thanks for posting
Does that say KORDA mouthtrap?? Danny would be proud

Cut off your mesh with around an inch and a half tag from the bait.
Cut straight down the middle of the tage end to the bait.
Tie down in a double overhand knot.
Nice and tight!
Thanks!! I was struggling with this too

Know what you mean about the boilie thing...maybe I'll try sweetcorn, luncheon meat etc...it was only an idea when I get bored and see any fish near the surface have a rod set up with float/zig and have a go
-
Thanks Cobleyn looks like I'll be trying a zig then
-
Ok can anyone tell me why I couldn't try float fishing a bait rather than zig rig to try the different depths?? Only difference I can see is the hair rigged bait would be upside down and if carp tend to go down onto food they would see a big hook just above the bait...apologies if this is a crazy idea in advance or maybe it's a brilliant idea and I could sell it to korda for £1000s

Hiya all.. I have just been looking at the blakemere website and it looks very, very good there. Now has anyone here been there and if so, is it that good or have they just use alot of spin on the website to make it look better than what it is????
I went to Blakemere in late Jan it's a really beautiful place and seems well stocked with good quality fish, the guy who owns it made a point of coming to see me on the bank and asked me loads about how my day had been, he's also continually working on the place to make it better, I'm sure if you go you'll enjoy it I did! The swims are really well made up with plenty of room for bivvy etc and aren't muddy or waterlogged...what more can I say!
