Hi Has anyone fished the Quarry Pool recently?Was just wondering how much weed is still in,I know they cut it in May but it used to be really weedy Thanks

I fished it at Easter,had most of my fish on zigs,few runs on the snowman rig,it was really weedy,I fished RH Snag and next door,you'll have to be lucky to get on middles or new middles,if you phone up the day before he will tell you where is free,you can't book the pegs but if your there early enough you have a chance of getting the peg you want

I fished it the week after easter weekend with my son.Lovely place and he's sorted the weed out now.I done well on the zigs.No need to cast right out cause the fish come right in.Another good thing is your gears totally safe and there's no idiots there.

Hello I've heard good and bad things about this place,but I've have just had a great 5 days there with my son.Marsch Pratley was very helpful,he even got my van unlocked by a friend when I locked myself out of my van.I only caught 4 fish but lost more than double that.Two pegs down a lovely 31lb 4oz was caught.You could see some right lumps in the margins during the day.The place has been made ideal for fishing with proper pegs to fish from.Your cars and tackle are safe,no need to worry,you can even charge your bait boat batteries in the lodge. The only moan I had was the weed but he is cutting it this week,I can highly recommend this place

Hello I had one of those days,let myself down really,3 runs,missed 2 of them and one came off about 5m from the bank.I will be going back to try it again,two lads next to me had a couple,the one I seen was just under 21 pounds.Pete who runs it is very friendly.

Going to fish it tomorrow for the first time,does anyone have any tips on peg choice and baits?
