tons of places in telford some are an absolute doddle (if theres such a thing, catch one day blank the next)
i would offer but i tend to get up at 5am finish at 10, being an ignorant sod i enjoy the peace and quiet of being on my tod (or is that just me being a billy no mates?).
have a wander round some of the lakes all the carp anglers ive spoke to are a friendly lot

carp are v inquisitive etc etc
was wandering about inserting a lit isotope through a boilie
so it would be 90 deg to the hair just had a measure up with a 15mm and the ends of the isotope were protruding about 1mm out of boilie it looks great
has anyone had a go at this before? would it cause any probs to the fish?
can anyone think of reasons for it to be a no no

ive never done an overnight here,well have to sort a social
ive had 3 carp in a handful of morning visits
1 of 8lb ish on pva bag 1 rod out and 2 just under 15lb 1 on 7ft zig and other bottom boilie which was 2ish rods out from other side
i think i may have said hello shooter had a wander round saturday
think my next visit ill have 2 rods for carp and my spod for cats

no joy im afraid 1 bream for me 2 bream 2 tench for little un.
jemsue has mentioned prev to stay close to margins couple of rods out.

yes it was gated but not locked week or two ago, but it is now padlocked.
cant imagine it being too much of a problem though give it a week or two and itll be broken, seen 2 lots of people trying to remove the fencing.

they have blocked the 1 side of lake (the side with the sign)
although a few people were still managing to get round

had 2 today
14lb caught on a zig (1st zig capture)
and 2nd was 11lb caught on pva bag 10 mm pop up happy days
and i got a bit of a tan

started making my own bait and thought itd be a cracking place to try it out

i parked mine in estate bit more of a trek, seriously could do with trolley.
well tonight ive added black dye to my boilies see if that makes difference, if not im going to get myself a 12 bore.

i blanked today
im gutted they were swimming all over and round my bait not a look though
been trying to pre bait a bit over last few weeks total waste of time as birds on bait in seconds so i think my cunning plan was in vain.
all good fun though

popped down sunday
tried pva bags because of the weed with 10mm pop ups had 2 bream and 1 lost fish which i think was carp.
if i dont get on rod and gun syndicate then this is going to be my day fishing water i certainly wont do nights here unless i go with some big friends

ive been having a look round with me marker float (making a nice little map)
when ive had a spare hr or so.
id love to find an old picture of the place before all the water,no joy so far.
apparently it was used for matches yrs ago with lots of tench and big bream.
like i say im a newbie and know nothing about this pool apart from a few perch i think its just carp.

malthouse pool (the one at the farm) is ive been told,a bloody hard pool.
ive had 2 fish out of there but im a newbie so still learning.
however this summer im going to crack it

ive fished the telford withy last yr
lots of low doubles, ideal if your just starting carp fishing as it is supposed to be brimming with them (too many ive been told)
must admit i only live 10 mins away i wouldnt be willing to travel to far for it.
never heard of any bother though and its days only
