im asking as i tied this rig with a cell pop up and i had to cut most of the boilie down to nothing to get it to pop up correct.. im using a aa shot..

i did think it was a little odd.. but as i have blanked since starting back fishing it got me thinking that he could be correct..

I got told today on the bank by another fisherman.. that by using size 6 hooks it stops me from catching lower double figure carp.. As there to big to pick up or suck up... is this correct.. If it is do i need to drop down to size 8 ??
